An aspiring National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Jomoro in the Western Region, Kingsley Blay Ackah has expressed his commitment to ensure an establishment of a College of Education in the area, to serve the educational needs of students in Jomoro and its environs.

Among a host of motivating factors pushing him to vie for the seat is the fact there is not a single school of higher education beyond Takoradi to Elubo that trains persons interested to become teachers in the future, a situation which compels students in the vicinity to travel far to access such tuition.

Kingsley Blay Ackah who is an Oil and Gas Analyst has stated that his motivation for entering politics is to see the educational level in Jomoro enhanced since a town with an educated youth has a great futures.

“My passion to see Jomoro developed keeps me going, it is time for the youth of Jomoro to take up the leadership mantle and help develop the area, adding that will be possible with an education youth” he noted.

Being a strong grassroots person from a well known NDC family in that area, Kingsley Blay Ackah who is an indigene of Half Assini and Elloyin, insists he has braced himself up and expects to win the NDC constituency primary that comes off later in the year.

He has in the past help build the party in the constituency by donating a fridge, T shirts, office stationary and has also done voluntary service in the area where he taught, these kind gestures he noted has endeared him to most of the constituents.

Kingsley Blay Ackah while studying in the United Kingdom,(UK) was a member of the UK/Ireland branch of the NDC and served on the Sub-Communication team in the run up to the 2012 general elections, where he defended the NDC on several radio shows and further pushed the party’s agenda. He is past President of Nzema Youth Association.

He is currently an MBA (ACCOUNTING) student at the Wisconsin University College.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) party on Thursday 27th August opened nominations for both Presidential and Parliamentary primaries.

The Party is expected to hold its National Delegates Congress in November.
