Gregory Afoko, a brother of NPP Chairman Paul Afoko, has been remanded into police custody by an Accra magistrate court.

Gregory is to stand trial for his alleged involvement in the killing of the late Upper East Chairman of the party, Adams Mahama. He has been officially charged with murder.

Gregory who together with one other person (who is on the run) showered acid on the deceased, was arrested last week Thursday. He was subsequently identified as a brother of the National Chairman.

However lawyers for the accused according to our sister online platform starrfmonline “expressed concerns over the charge sheet which associates their client with the national chairman of the opposition party.”
