A meeting of the leadership of the ruling National Democratic Congress to among other things agree on the need for a new biometric register for its upcoming primaries, is headed for voting.
The meeting, which is taking place at the premises of the Local Government Institute in Accra, and being chaired by the Party’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, is heated up as key members vote to agree to a definite roadmap ahead of the primaries.

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur is present at a meeting that is taking place months after its rival the main opposition NPP held its primaries to elect parliamentary candidates ahead of the 2016 elections.
The NDC is expected to hold both Parliamentary and Presidential elections before the year ends to elect its Presidential and Parliamentary candidates for the 2016 polls.
Ahead of a date for the elections, some prospective aspirants have already begun testing the political waters by making their intentions publicly known with some even coming out with their posters and other paraphernalia.
The Ghanaian political scene will be a beehive of activities and promises to be very interesting, as the ruling NDC warms itself up to the internal elections.
