Jae Cris is a multi-talented Ghanaian musician, producer and music video director hailing from Accra. Cris has always been fascinated by music and the arts.
After listening to cassette tapes of varied music genres that he could get his hands on, he started writing rhymes to express himself musically, taking inspiration from the numerous artists he listening to including, Eminem, Obrafour, D12, Ludacris, Lord Kenya, music from Kenny Rodgers, among-st others.
Jae Cris’ interest in music continued to grow in the secondary school, where he actively made demo tapes with a Hip Hop group he joined in PRESEC, then later featuring in the school’s mixtape compilation.
He would later learn music production and sound engineering and video production, as he expands is musical and artistic skills, leading him to produce and record some underground acts, till he releases a joint mixtape “Ascension Rights” with another rapper in 2016, boasting production and engineering credits on the project.
As well as co-directing a music video for a song from the project. After producing a mixtape for YourBoiBlack, an artist from Accra, in early 2017, Jae Cris is currently working on producing an EP with YourBoiBlack, while working on his own solo project.
