Rodney Boateng is the name but known in showbizz as “YourBoiBlack”. A young and promising rapper based in Spintex. Started music back in 2011. He formed a musical group called BigBoyz which was made up of a friend of his (Nerous) and him self. He has now gone solo due to reasons he doesn’t want to disclose.
He is a graduate of Chemu Senior High where he offered Visual Arts and now a student at the University of Proffesional Studies Accra (UPSA) offering Marketing (CIM).
He has a dope mixtape titled “HisRoyalBlackness” which he released on 6th, march 2017. This mixtape has a very unique feel because of the type of tracks on it. He also shot a video for the afropop song on the mixtape titled “Agbenaaah” which he featured the producer of the song “Jae Cris”.
YourBoiBlack also jumped on a free verse of Dee-Moneey’s “Shots” track which he delivered dope 24 bars to complete the second verse of the track.
The rapper is curently working on an EP which is going to blow the minds of Ghanaians when it drops. There is a track on the EP titled “license” which he will be dropping as a single from the EP soon and i know the youths will vibe to it because of its AfroPop feel and message. Video for this “License” track will also drop later.
