The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer, Kwame Baffoe aka Abronye has alleged that food products meant to feed students of the Ghana Secondary Senior High School (GHANASS) have been diverted by the school’s matron.
According to him, he has evidence that the Matron by name Comfort Brew, allegedly transports the products out of the school using a Ghana Education Service vehicle with registration number GN 5717 – 15 to sell the items.
Abronye told Sit-in-host Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa FM that, luck however eluded the matron when the security man on duty, stopped the vehicle at the school gate for inspection following which he discovered several boxes of sardines and tin tomatoes being hauled out of the school.
He continued that while the security man rushed to inform the School’s store keeper to come and see what he’d found, the driver and the matron drove away.
The security man then lodged a complaint with the School’s Headmaster, Rev. Abraham Donkor following which a three member committee was formed to investigate the matter.
However the National Security has taken over investigations into the matter after learning of an audio recording in which a woman thought to be the matron is heard assuring one of the accused persons named Appiah, as she is a relative of the Police Commander and that the case will die prematurely.
Kasapafmonline.com sources say, all the actors in the case have arrived in Accra to help in investigations.
The Matron has however not been available to respond to the allegations leveled against her.
