
OAFRICA, a non-governmental organisation has announced celebrated actress and producer, Joselyn Dumas as its World wide Ambassador.
As a proud mother, Joselyn Dumas’ love for children according to the Founder of the organisation, Lisa Lovatt-Smith, was the core reason she chosen to be the face of Oafrica.
She noted that Dumas role is to help strengthen families and reintegrate separated children whose rights have been compromised due to poverty, violence, trafficking, disease and discrimination into safe, stable and loving households.
Oafrica for the past 15 years OAfrica has supported children and young adults in Ghana. Being a co-creator with the Government of Ghana and UNICEF of the CARE REFORM INITIATIVE, Oafrica has been tracing and reuniting children from orphanages by strengthening their extended families and giving the children scholarships.
OAfrica helps families of children at risk of abandonment and gives them secure futures within their communities.
OAfrica is committed to care reform and ensuring that children grow up in safe, permanent family settings with appropriate care and protection and with equal rights and opportunity.
ABOUT JOSELYN DUMAS
Joselyn Dumas is a versatile and fearless actress who continues to shine on the big screen and has received high acclaim for her work on television and in Film.
She was born Joselyn Canfor-Dumas in Ghana and spent her early childhood in Accra, Ghana. She had her basic education at Morning Star School and proceeded to the Archbishop Porter Girls High School where she became the Entertainment Prefect.
Joselyn furthered her studies in the United States where she studied to earn a Degree in Administrative Law. Joselyn is a proud mother whose life is centered around her child. Her belief, “Never stand begging for what you have the power to earn” has been her motivation and drive over the years.
