Movie production presently is declining and it is obvious many actors and actress are out of job.
Most of these Ghanaian actors and actresses who cannot cope with the situation are now producing and acting in their own movies in order to stay relevant but Ghanaian comedian and actor Bismark the Joke believes it’s not the way to go.
Bismark told Zylofon FM that he sometimes agree with actors owning their production because movie producers have complained bitterly about marketing and promotion of their movies not yielding any results.
He remarked that the number of popular actors and actresses people would want to watch in movies will decline woefully should all actors turn producers.
Asked if he plans to own a production Bismark The Joke replied, “I’ve but not now… I’ve done lot of enquiries about producing a movie myself and it’s a huge venture. These days most of my colleagues have now ventured into movie production but it makes the acting career stall because if we’re venturing into producing movies, who will be in front of the camera.“
