One of Ghana’s daughters who has been making us proud overseas, Lucy Yeboah, reigning Miss Ghana USA arrived at the Kotoka International Airport at 10pm on Saturday, December 16th 2017.
The pageant queen was received by the Ghanaian team of the organization led by Brand Director, Edmund Dapaa.
Miss Ghana USA was founded in 2009 to promote young women of Ghanaian heritage and to provide them with an avenue to achieve career goals and carry out social and humanitarian initiatives.
She’s expected to make a number of high profile courtesy calls, TV and Radio appearances and a myriad of charity undertakings in the zone of maternity health, clean water, self-empowerment in young girls and reading among Ghanaian youth.
In a video on the diaspora pageant’s official Instagram page, @msghanausa, Miss Yeboah expresses her excitement about being in Ghana, as it’s her first time back home to the motherland after her crowning, and reveals her plans for her visit, which include empower young ladies to make their voices heard in the patriarchal setting of government and a clean water campaign.
Public interest around the arrival of the beauty queen is picking up and everyone is curious to see what she has to offer to the good people of Ghana. We are all hoping she makes a difference with her visit. Follow the official Miss Ghana USA Instagram and Facebook pages for top of the hour updates.
