A former Chief of Defence Staff, Brigadier-General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah(Rtd) says Presidential hopeful, Ekwow Spio Garbrah is capable of giving sound mentorship to the country’s youth should he be elected as President of the country.

In what is seen as a tacit endorsement of Mr. Spio Garbrah to lead the main opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) to victory in the 2020 general elections, Brigadier Nunoo-Mensah said the NDC Presidential aspirant is the man to provide good leadership for the country.

Brigadier-General Nunoo-Mensah made the point on Wednesday, January,03, 2018 when the former Trade Minister under the erstwhile John Mahama administration Ekwow Spio-Garbrah launched his ‘Forward Agenda’ campaign to help him lead the party ahead of the 2020 elections.

The former National Security Advisor had always argued for solid leadership in the governance of the country, which according to him has been the bane of Ghana’s development.

He’s consistently made a case for the mentoring of the youth to avoid the cycle of misfortunes of the past.

Endorsing the Presidential aspirant, Brigadier Nunoo-Mensah said “the youth today are like a lost sheep”and hence there is the need for the country to have an inspiring leader, who can guide them as well as provide mentorship for them.

“I am behind Mr. Spio-Garbrah because I believe that we have to mentor the youth…what i went through as a young man, I don’t want our young people to go through what I went through,” he said.
