‘Rape’ is currently one of the topical issues in Ghana because of recent occurrences.

The disturbing trend was discussed on episode five of teen oriented talk show ‘The YOLO Hangout‘ last week Saturday on TV3.

Ivan Adumoah who plays ‘Abrantie’ on Television series YOLO (You Only Live Once) co-hosted the episode.

The studio audience shared their opinion on the causes of rape, and how young people can prevent it from happening to them.  Steps to take after one has been raped were also shared.

YOLO is an award-winning series that addresses socio-cultural factors impeding young people’s awareness of reproductive health issues.

The YOLO Hangout‘ is hosted by  Lerny Lomotey , and airs on TV3 every Saturday at 5:00pm.

Unprotected sex and its consequences, condom use, rape, parent-teen relationship, sibling relationship, personal hygiene and peer pressure are some of the topics discussed on the show.

It is a National Population Council (NPC) initiative with support from the USAID, facilitated by Communicate For Health, and produced by Farmhouse Productions.
