Regular panel member on Kasapa Fm’s Entertainment show, Wei Ye Oteng has launched a new project to help budding artistes with great talents.
The CEO of Drum Lyne Entertainment said the new project dubbed, ‘PROJECT 5’ would see him record five songs and shoot videos for five young artists.
According to him, industry players have registered interest to help with the free promotion and publicity on radio, television, online and print.
Oteng therefore urged all interested artistes to send a recorded song and picture to Whatsapp number +233277440438 and a team of five would do the selection of songs.
He told Kojo Preko Dankwa, host of Kasapa Entertainment that the initiative is his way of giving back to the industry.
“I’m glad many industry persons are on board to push this project from the selection to promotion and marketing of the songs selected. The number of entries we have gathered so far is over 800 but we will stop any more entries when we hit 1,000 so that the board can easily select the best five with” he said.
He said Project 5 is going to be a yearly affair where he would train five underground artists and make them stars.
Wei Ye Oteng has produced for musicians like Trigmatic now (Tiyumba), Joyce Blessing, Obrafour, A Plus, Barima Sidney and Noble Nketsia.
