Ghana’s representatives in this year’s CAF inter-club competitions, Aduana Stars and Kumasi Asante Kotoko registered mixed results in their respective ties on Wednesday.
While Aduana Stars progressed in the Champions League after beating Libyan side Al Tahadi 2:0 in Dormaa Ahenkro, while Asante Kotoko crushed out of the Confederations Cup on penalties.
In Dormaa, Elvis Opoku cancelled out Al Tahadi’s first leg goal when he opened the score for Aduana, before Derick Sasraku sealed qualification with the important second goal to give Aduana a 2:1 aggregate result after the two legs.
In Brazzaville, Kotoko lost by a lone goal To CARA in regulation time to take the tie to 1:1. But the Porcupine Warriors lost 6:7 on penalties to bow out of the competition.
