The Defense team in the Major Mahama case has rejected the composition of the jury formed to hear the trial of the accused persons.

Kasapa FM’s Daakyehene Ofosu Agyeman reports there was drama at the Accra high court as 8 out of the 14 people who were presented to be selected to form a seven member panel to hear the case were rejected by the Major Mahama “killers” and their lawyers.

This compelled the Presiding Judge, Mariama Owusu to adjourn the case to 16th of April to make room for new persons to be presented to fill the vacant seat. The rejection was within the rights of the accused persons.

Late Major Mahama was lynched by locals at Denkyira Obuasi, now New Obuasi upon suspicion that he was an armed robber.
