Five armed robbers including a female have been arrested by the Kwabenya Police Command.
The robbers reportedly snatched a bag containing GHC45,000 from a woman and sped off in a taxi cab. The victim is said to have given the robbers a hot chase until she met a policeman who supported in arresting the robbers.
According to an eye eyewitness, the police officer hired an Okada (motorbike) and chased the speeding car until he went ahead of the robbers and accosted them in a traffic jam.
The robbers reportedly tried hitting the policeman with the car after they spotted him and he in return fired at the car and eventually overpowered them leading to their arrest.
