Members of the Jirapa Municipal Assembly in the Upper West Region will in two weeks time convene to consider a vote of no confidence against the Municipal Chief Executive(DCE).

A circular dispatched to Assembly members and sighted by Kasapafmonline.com said: “You are hereby summoned to attend a special meeting of the Jirapa Municipal Assembly scheduled on Thursday, 24th  May, 2018 at 10:00 am prompt in the Assembly Conference Hall.

“The purpose of the meeting is to consider or otherwise a motion to pass a vote of no confidence against the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Christine Bombanye-Amadu,” the letter dated 8th May 2018, said.

Its unclear what triggered such a motion to be tabled for the MCE’s removal or otherwise, but the letter to members by the Presiding Member of the Assembly has asked the Municipal Electoral Officer to be present at the emergency meeting.
