Ghanaian hiphop artiste D-Black, born Desmond Blackmore, has said he never anticipated doing music while growing up, since he lacked enthusiasm for doing that.
He disclosed that he got into the music industry by accident as he was forced into that field by his friends who were themselves musicians.
“I am a businessman and I love to do my business. I’m an event organizer and a marketer. I got into music purely by accident due to persuasion from friends who were into the music business.”
The Ciroc Brand Ambassador, told Afia Schwar. on Kasapa FM’s Aben Wo Ho show explained that his reasons for not doing songs in Twi is due to the fact that he is not a good speaker of the dialect.
“I can’t rap in Twi, I love to do my songs in English because I am more comfortable in that language.”
