Manchester City forward player, Leroy Sane was not included in Germany’s World Cup 2018 squad.

Nils Petersen and Bayern Leverkusen players, Jonathan Tah and Bernd Leno were also dropped from the team.

Many football fans were in shock to hear that Sane was not included in the final squad because he was named the Premier League’s Young Player of the Year after his amazing performance with Man City last season.

He scored 14 goals and gave 19 assists in all competition as City emerged winners of the recently ended English Premier League with five outstanding matches. However, Sane did not meet the requirements of Coach Joachim Low for his final 23-man World Cup squad.

Low said that he was very indecisive on whom to choose between Sane and Julian Brandt who equally performed amazing by scoring 12 goals and making seven assists for Bayern Leverkusen this year.

Sane played six out of Germany’s past seven games including starting in their recent 2-1 loss to Austria.

The 2018 World Cup will commence on 14th June, 2018. It will be held in 12 cities including Sochi and Volgograd in Russia, with 32 national football teams including Nigeria, Egypt, Portugal, Spain, Germany and Brazil from five confederations.
