The High Court in Accra has ordered the Attorney General’s Department to furnish Dr Stephen Opuni and Siedu Agongo all documents in its possession that would be relied on in their trial within 7 days from today.

The two accused persons relied on Article 19(2) (e)and (g) and requested the AG to provide them all documents including those it will not rely on in the course of the trial.

But, days after the Supreme Court had ruled that accused persons be furnished with all pre-trial documents, the High Court presided over by Justice Clemence Honyenugah said the apex court ruling need no interpretation.

The court said this will enable the accused persons to prepare their defence.

The case has been adjourned to July 4 for the trial to commence.
