The 14th Congregation of Koforidua Technical University(KTU) scheduled to take place on June 23, 2018 may not come off as hundreds of graduands excluded from the final graduation list released on Monday June 18, 2018 have stated huge agitation.

The affected graduands who have not been provided tangible reasons why they cannot graduate on Saturday are threatening to secure court injunction on the entire ceremony.

“It has come to our notice( KTU 2014 -2017 batch) that the management of Koforidua Technical University has decided not to graduate all mature students and conditional students after fulfilling their part of agreement as stated in the admissions forms.

“We don’t understand this decision by the management of Koforidua Technical University and we need immediate response from them to clarify this matter before Tuesday 19th June. And we want the governments support too. Failure to have a better response from the management will lead to further actions taken “.

According to the students failure to graduate them will have negative impact on plans to upgrade academically and apply for job opportunities.

Kasapa News has gathered that, the new Council Chairman for the University, Prof.Obeng Apori who has become a thorn in the flesh of many management members and Lecturers took the decision over a reason not yet known to the media.
