Nana Akuffo Addo has called for a stop to the calling of names and finger pointing in the NPP.

Speaking at a press conference at the Party’s headquarters Friday to address an ongoing national executive crisis, the twice defeated leader said if the party were to make any serious headway, it was important to accord both past and current leaders respect.

“The finger pointing, the name calling, the insults, the lies, the denigrating of past and current leaders must stop.”

Coming days after calls were made for him to formally speak on the matter, Nana Akuffo Addo delivered a speech many have described forward-looking, and which should shape an eventual truce.

The NPP is struggling to manage a messy leadership crisis that has seen key regional blocs of the Party petition the national office to have the Chairman and General Secretary impeached.
