A former Deputy Minister of Information, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has threatened to file a court action on Tuesday, July, 02, 2018 against Pauline Dadzawa, a Commissioner at the Electoral Commission over claims that he pocketed $6 million out of some $12 million meant to bribe some officials at the election management body.

According to him, his Lawyers are on standby to file a defamation suit against Madam Pauline Dadzawa if she fails to retract what he calls the “false, baseless, and malicious allegations made against him by tomorrow.

“As far as I’m concerned I have served adequate notice to her that I’ll take her on legally. I have not heard from her three days ago since I issued that public statement. And I give her today, Monday if I still don’t hear any retraction from her I’ll go ahead and file a defamation suit. I’m not obliged to reach her. She has every responsibility to reach me and offer explanations or better still offer some apologies. She has a responsibility towards me and she’s failed to do so. ”

There are claims that he received an amount of $12 million which was supposed to be given to EC officials during the 2016 elections but he kept half of the amount and gave the other half to the removed EC Chairperson Charlotte Osei, when he realised that the NDC was going to lose the elections.

But the former government official told sit-in host Akwasi Nsiah on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM that the claims made by the EC official has no iota of truth in it and insisted that “at no time before, during or after the 2016 elections, was he given money by anyone from his party for the purpose described by the EC Commissioner.

He also urged the public to disregard the allegations against him by NPP activists at the Jubilee House linking him to claims made by former President Rawlings at this year’s June 4th event at Madina, that an official of the previous government had purchased two houses in Accra at $3 million.

Kwakye Ofosu said the falsehood is a propaganda by the NPP activists at the Jubilee House who splashed posts and pictures on social media seeking to use Mrs. Dadzawa’s falsehoods to justify the allegations made by the Founder of the NDC.
