George Boateng, an NDC organizer at the Oyarifa branch in the Madina constituency, who has vowed to unseat President John Mahama in the party’s upcoming presidential primaries, has told Kasapa 102.3 FM, he will pick another Presidential nomination forms on Monday.

The President’s contender had earlier picked his forms on Monday, but the party insists he was issued the wrong form which has turned out to be a draft copy of the original forms.

The General Secretary of the Party, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has asked Mr Boateng to come back to the party’s Headquarters for the legitimate forms to be given him, as he (Asiedu Nketiah ) is the only one mandated by the party’s laws to issue out Presidential nomination forms.

Addressing a gathering at the party’s Headquaters when Veep Amissah Arthur picked nomination forms on behalf of President John Mahama, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, said President’s Mahama’s form is the first to be issued out by the party.

“We indicated that the forms must be picked from the General Secretary of the party. Since we announced the guidelines, I’m pleased to inform you that this is the first time any candidate has approached my office to pick nomination forms [referring to President Mahama’s forms]”.

However speaking to Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM, Mr Boateng stated that he’ll not allow himself to be unfairly disqualified by the party.

“ I want to tell Asiedu Nketiah that I’m coming to the Headquaters Monday to pick up another form if they insist I should do so, I’m committed to unseating President Mahama to salvage Ghanaians out of the difficulties President Mahama’s poor governance has brought on the citizenry”.

Meanwhile the party has sacked two of its officials who sold out the nomination forms to Mr Boateng.

“Since our staff has been mentioned in this whole saga, we have taken firm administrative measures against them. So those members of our staff who were pretending to be General Secretaries have been sanctioned and you will not see them in this office working again” Asiedu Nketiah noted.
