A member of the committee set up by the National Executive Committee(NEC) of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), to inquire into the alleged financial malfeasance within the Dankwa-Busia-Dombo tradition, Joe Osei Wusu says nobody has made any complaints before it suggesting misappropriation of party funds.

He says all accounts given by witnesses who have appeared before it so far did not allude to the fact that there has been any diversion of party funds, insisting that the media speculation out there is false.

“Misappropriation or diversion of party funds was not the matter that came up when the committee was set up – there was no such case made at NEC that says party funds have been diverted,” he hinted.

Mr. Osei Wusu who is also the Member of Parliament for Bekwai constituency in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM  raised concerns over Baah Achemfuor’s allegations of corruption in the NPP when he’s not a party official to know details of transactions that goes on at the helm of affairs.

He says the police have therefore brought its name into disrepute by wading into such matter.

The Bekwai legislator thus wants Achemfuor to face disciplinary actions for his misconduct in the NPP.

The committee’s report will be ready by next week, official sources say.
