The President’s nominee garnered a hundred percent (100%) total votes cast. She had nine yes out of nine votes cast.

An elated Gertrude Ankrah in her acceptance speech assured that she’ll work tirelessly to ensure the development of the area and in so doing improve the living condition of the residence.

“Indeed we’re here to continue the legacy of our predecessor when the assembly was not separated but it was one as Ga West Municipal assembly to change the life and ensure a prosperous future for our people and generations to come. 

She also announced her commitment to fight corruption and make good use of the assembly’s funds.

“I wish to categorically state that our municipality will prioritize cost recovery and revenue generating activities over the years that I’ll be in office as the Municipal Chief Executive. I would like to say that I shall make sure that corruption finds no place in this municipality.”
