The opposition New Patriotic Party, (NPP) internal wrangling and deep seated division appears far from over, as beleaguered General Secretary of the Party has said he only got to know about the NPP Presidential candidate Nana Akufo Addo’s ongoing ‘Rise And Build’ Tour on the internet.

According to him, he is not granted the least courtesy and respect as the Chief Executive of the party, as he has been kept in the dark on several issues relating to some of the official activities of the flag bearer.

The 2016 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, commenced his month- long national tour last Thursday which saw him visiting the Volta Region, ahead of the commencement of the campaign for the 2016 general elections.

Nana Akufo-Addo while on the visits will meet up with regional executives, constituency executives, and aspirants in the NPP parliamentary primaries, both winners and losers, in every region he visits. This is to prepare the party for a campaign that hopes to energise Ghanaians to help build and restore Ghana onto a path of progress and prosperity.

However speaking to Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM, Kwabena Agyepong stated that though he has been unfairly treated for a long time, he had decided to remain quiet over such internal party issues, but since there are deliberate attempt to consistently paint him black in the eyes of the public, it is incumbent on him to speak out now.

“They have tried to blame me for several things I have no idea about. I have tried all I can to advance the course of Nana Addo but my efforts are not being appreciated. This is very disheartening and sad.

“I have always tried to accompany Nana Addo everywhere he goes. You’ll recall that when the unfortunate incident happened at the Goil Filing station at Circle, I was there with Nana, but what you don’t know is that after we had planned to go there, the car which was to convey us to the incident scene took off before I got to our supposed meeting at the time we had agreed. I had to drive and rush to meet Nana Addo at Circle. The same thing happened when where going to James Town, I had to find my way there.

“Again when we were going to Akropong to express our condolence over the death of Okuapiman Hene, Nana Addo Dankwa, though I had repeatedly informed the entourage that I was waiting for them at Aburi to make the journey together, to my utmost surprise Nana Addo’s convoy swiftly drove past me.  Once again I had to meet them at Akropong alone.

“What more can i do, I have a clear heart and I don’t hold anything against Nana Addo, the deliberate orchestrated attempt in the media to discredit me will fail.”
