The founder and leader of the Anointed Palace Chapel, Reverend Obofuor has said that songs by Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale are much better than some gospel songs.
The man of God expressed concern about how most gospel songs do not make any meaningful impact because those gospel artistes have refused to touch on relevant issues.
Rev. Obofour who is noted for singing Shatta Wale’s song during church service said most of Shatta Wale’s songs have better content than the most gospel songs.
According to him, most content of gospel songs do not inspire listeners. He added that he needs songs that will make him dance and also keep his congregation on their feet.
“Who is a gospel artiste? The message in the song is the most important thing. Dances performed in the clubs are also right here in church,” he said.
“Is Shatta Wale not a human being? Those who call themselves gospel musicians are engaging in sexual immorality,” he added.
