The National Coordinator of government’s flagship project, One District One Factory (1D1F), Madam Gifty Ohene-Konadu has presented a NASCO brand 40-inch digital television set to the Parliamentary Press Corps (PPC) to replace the existing one which has become obsolete.
This was in fulfilment of a promise she made recently at a workshop organized by Parliament for the PPC where she delivered the keynote address.
Coincidentally, the National Coordinator was the same person who gifted the current TV set at the PPC’s office when she was in Parliament as the lawmaker for Asante Akim South constituency in the Ashanti Region for two terms, January, 2005- January, 2013.
Presenting the TV set to the Dean of the PPC at her office, Thursday morning supported by other Executives, Madam Ohene-Konadu urged the media to continue exhibiting fair reportage at all times.
She thanked the media, especially, members of the PPC for their fair and balance reportage on her office so far.
The Dean of the PPC, Nana Agyeman Birikorang thanked the 1D1F National Coordinator for the gesture.
The PPC, he said will forever remain grateful to her for the show of support over the years.
Other executives of the PPC present were the Vice Dean, Simon Agianab, Secretary, Stephen Odoi-Larbi, Assistant Secretary, Christian Kpesese and the Executive Member, Yesmeen Abubakar Tetteh.
The Parliamentary Press Corps is the umbrella body of all journalists assigned by their various media houses in the country who met all the requirements and are duly accredited by Parliament to report from the House.
