The published list of the yearly earnings of Serie A players by Gazzetta dello Sport has thrown up some interesting numbers with regards to the Ghanaian players plying their trade in the league.

Juventus star Kwadwo Asamoh is the highest Ghanaian earner in the Serie A, earning 1.6m euros a year in a team that has Paul Pogba as it’s topmost earner at 4.5m euros.

Udinese star Emmanuel Agyeman Badu and Alfred Duncan of Sassoulo are next with a net of 600,000 euros a year. Teen sensation Godfred Donsah has climbed up the earnings table, earning 450,000 euros a year at Bologna.

Surprisingly Torino’s midfield enforcer,Afriyie Acquah is down the table, earning 450,000 euros a year while Frosinone are paying Rahman Chibsah 200,000 euros a year for his efforts.

Notable players on the list are Roma legend Francesco Totti, who is paid €3.2m (£2.3m) and Lazio’s Ravel Morrison, who takes home €1m (£730,000).

Mario Balotelli’s pay at AC Milan comes in at €2.25m (£1.64m) and Juan Cuadrado, on loan at Juventus from Chelsea, earns €3m (£2.19m).

Juventus pay the most on wages of all Italian clubs, their wage bill equating to a gross sum of €124m (£91m).

Roma are second on €113m (£83m) with the two Milan sides third and fourth. AC pay a total of €101m while Inter pay €94m (£69m), a figure which has increased by €24m (£17.5m) from last year.
