Ghanaian film director, Frank Fiifi Gharbin has said working with actor Alex Kofi Adu, popularly known as Agya Koo on set has always been a pain in the neck to him.

The Kumasi based movie producer who is not pleased with the attitude Agya Koo portrays when he is being directed on set described the actor as suffering from andropause; a gradual and highly variable decline in the production of androgenic hormones and especially testosterone in the human male together with its associated effects that is held to occur during and after middle age.

Gharbin told Adom FM, of all the Kumasi based actors he has worked with, Agya Koo is the only one who finds it difficult to let go when offended on set.

According to him, though actors like Akrobeto, have similar attitude, Akrobeto is quick to let go of issues that may bring about conflicts during production.

Other known producers and directors have also complained bitterly about how difficult it is to work with Agya Koo.

According to most of the producers, Agya Koo, after gaining fame and riches, started displaying arrogance and egotism. Consequently, he became very difficult to work with and so many producers started ignoring him.

Frank Gharbin further eulogized actors Emelia Brobbey, Vivian Jill, Kyeiwaa, Lil Win, Bill Asamoah and Kwaku Manu among others who have always made their work easier.

“Working with Agya Koo has been difficult, he can’t easily forgive you. He can take you on for everyone to know something is wrong. He sometimes acts like a woman and it makes it difficult to talk to him. Akrobeto might disturb more than Agya Koo but he makes peace easily compared to him,” he told Adom FM
