Officials of the National Disaster Management Organisation and National Security operatives have destroyed eighteen (18) kilograms of noxious tilapia at Asutsuare in the Shai Osudoku District of the Greater Accra region.
Reports suggest the fishes belongs to a Chinese-owned fish farming company [Fujian] Farm and were reportedly shipped into the country from China.
Unconfirmed reports say the Tilapia died upon arrival in Ghana because they were genetically modified.
