Newly elected National Women’s Organizer of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hannah Bissiw has said her election signifies victory for the party come 2020 general election.

According to the former Deputy Agric Minister, she’s poised to work hard to lead the women’s wing of the NDC to recapture power from the governing New Patriotic Party in the next elections.

“We are going to work as women to ensure that, 2020 the people of Ghana will vote massively for us. I am very sure that my victory is an indication of the NDC’s victory on 2020”.

She told sit-in host Akwasi Nsiah on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa FM Monday,  her leadership will foster unity among various women groups in the party, thereby ensuring grudges and little quarrels among group leadership and party folks are resolved.

“My tenure will see a united women front, a formidable one at that. All the quarrels over 2016 election will be forgotten so that we can forge ahead and claim victory for the party in 2020” she said.

Touting her leadership credentials, she said “I’m strong and bold, very principled and resolute with whatever I say”.

The former Member of Parliament emerged winner in Saturday’s national women organizer race after beating her contenders like, Hajia Zaynab Mahama, who was the incumbent National Organizer as well as Hajia Tawa Zakari and Margaret Chiravira to take up the position.

She pulled 446 votes, making her the people’s choice.
