Captain of the Ghana Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan has reportedly filed for divorce to end his five (5) years marriage to his wife, Gifty Gyan, at the Divorce and Matrimonial Division of the High Court, Accra.
The footballer has also denied being the father of their three children and subsequently demanding a DNA test to be carried out on all three to discover if he is the father of the kids.
According to reports, the Kayserispor striker after filing for divorce in August, 2018 is currently making preparation to marry an Accra-based business woman, once his marriage to Gifty is annulled by the court.
Reports say the couple for some months have not met but reasons why their marriage has encountered problems is unknown.
Another report from Ghanaweb indicates that brother to Ghana’s black Stars captain, Baffour Gyan has allegedly seized Gifty’s passport to supposedly prevent her from returning to Asamoah’s residence in the United Kingdom.
Gyan in a recent interview with Delay expressed love for his family and his children but admitted that because of the demands of his job, he does not spend enough time with his children.
He told Delay his job was preventing him from playing his fatherly role effectively. Gyan also revealed that Gifty forgave him when he cheated on her in 2015 with a then 22-year-old university student, Sarah Kwablah.
