
The nomination of six people for various ministerial positions by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has received parliamentary approval.
They are; Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Minister Designate for Information; Hon. Cynthia Morrison, Minister Designate for Gender, Children & Social Protection; and Hon. Evans Bobie Opoku, Minister Designate for Brong Ahafo Region.
The rest are; Ms. Paulina Tangoba Abayage, Minister Designate for Upper East Region; Mrs. Samuel Nuertey Ayertey, Deputy Minister-Designate for Eastern Region; and Hon. Martin Oti Gyarko, Deputy Minister-Designate for Brong Ahafo Region.
The approval of the six by the House follows a recommendation made by the Appointments Committee after they had appeared before it for public hearing regarding the various positions they have been designated to.
Chairman of the Appointments Committee who is also the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu presenting the committee’s report urged the House to approve by consensus, the nomination of the six for various ministerial positions.
