Hip-Life artiste, Kwame A-Plus has said the ruling New Patriotic Party Government led by Nana Akufo Addo is not living up to expectation as anticipated by the citizenry.

Expressing his view on what he termed as his legitimate concerns, the staunch supporter of the NPP declared that it is obvious he might vote for another party if the ruling government he has been supporting continues to fail in its promise delivering.

He told Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, he can vote and campaign against Nana Addo’s government because he is not obliged to continually be a staunch supporter of the party should they fail in meeting the expectations of Ghanaians.

Kwame A-Plus indicated that he is not pleased with the performance of the NPP government regarding failure of the party to fulfil some of its campaign promises to Ghanaians.

“What’s wrong is seeing right and calling it wrong and vice versa. It doesn’t matter which party you belong to. You can belong to any party but every good citizen defends his country all the time and his party when they deserve it. Just as I did in 2016 when I voted and went live with it on Facebook so I can do the same in 2020 against him [Nana Addo].

“My vote is not on autopilot. in 2020, I can choose NDC, in 2024, I can choose an independent, I don’t care. I can belong to NDC, NPP, what is right is right, what is wrong is wrong.

“If you are in NDC (National Democratic Congress) and NDC wins, make sure it works, I don’t support a party because they have beautiful people.

There should be jobs and we must ensure that the system works…we have to be employed, we have to get jobs but we have to ensure that the system works. I will keep fighting for this country,

“Tomorrow I can be NDC depending on what NPP does,” the critic said.

He added that he can belong to any political party depending on how that government is able to meet the needs of the citizens as promised.

A-Plus cited the recent decision by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture to invest $4.5 million to host the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in Ghana as one of the worst decisions taken by the ministry.

“The industry is collapsing. Shirley Frimpong-Manso has put so much into sustaining this industry and instead of the ministry supporting her, they are giving money to AFRIMA. What are the visitors coming to watch in Ghana; the motorway that has not got streetlights?

“Your own people are crying yet you have given money to foreigners to organize AFRIMA in Ghana.”

He admitted he likes Nana Addo as a person but those who work for him are the cause why Government is still struggling to meet the needs of the people.

“Me I like Nana Addo as a person. He is genuine.

“The president is a very good man. However, he is being followed by some good people and some very useless people,” A-Plus said
