Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Woode

Kasapafmonline.com can report with certainty that some High Court Judges implicated in the massive scandal that has rocked Ghana’s Judiciary are to petition the court to restrain plans of broadcasting a video that is said to capture their corrupt activities.

Our impeccable sources say the judges plan to ban Ace Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas whose investigative piece established their corrupt practices from of publicly showing the video on September 22 and 23 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Among their request will be asking the court to prohibit anyone from showing the video on TV stations, the internet and on social media platforms such as Whatsapp YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.

Whether to show or not to show this video which has the potential of adversely affecting the integrity of the Judiciary has been a subject for discussion by not only legal brains but ordinary Ghanaians, as proponent of it not being broadcast fear its consequences will be dire.

However Tiger Eye PI, who own the video, titled “Ghana in the Eyes of God – Epic of Injustice”, are resolute in their resolve to publicly screen it.

The video, which has already been shown to selected influential people, captures some judges allegedly receiving bribes – tubers of yams, live goats, and cash to influence judgments.

Meanwhile the 12 high court judges implicated have until today, Monday September 14 to submit their written responses to bribery allegations against them.

Following this, Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Woode will then examine their reaction before deciding whether to open a formal investigation into the accusations, in which case, they would also be suspended.
