What a climatic and fitting end to the first week of December! Over a month ago we got a call from GFX Brokers informing us that they wished to partner with the Alexis Miranda Foundation as the beneficiary for their charity program, “GFX A day for good”. They had observed our work, were very proud of the level of transparency and integrity within our organization and believed in our cause.

GFX Brokers is a Ghanaian owned brokerage firm, licensed and regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). They are Broker Dealers covering Fixed Income products, Commodities, Equities and Foreign Exchange.

The “GFX A day for good” was held on the 6th of December 2018 in their office. We spent the day with their dedicated team of brokers sharing and educating them on how essential our work is. At the end of the day, they expressed how thrilled and encouraged they were that their efforts to support us were going to make a significant impact in the communities in which we serve.

To the team at GFX, the team of organizers as well as the celebrities, Adjetey Annan, Nhyira Addo, Francis Abban, Eugene Zuta, eShun, Chris Kata and Zynnel Zuh who came through for such a worthy cause, we cannot express enough, our heartfelt thanks for the immense time and effort that went into this day which was the culmination of all that we worked towards.

Autism awareness in Ghana is slowly on the upward crawl but not many understand how much work is involved in supporting the children and individuals on the spectrum. Ideally, a whole team of specialists are required to work with these special individuals to equip them with the essential basic life, social and communication skills to have some sort of independence. Without the help of behaviour therapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, neurologists or paediatricians, these individuals will remain completely dependent on their families for support because they lack the skills to do much on their own.

Thank you for believing in the work we do and your continued support.

Happy Holidays

Alexis Miranda Foundation wishes you well.
