The Andani family will today commence the funeral rites of Ya-Naa Andani II.

In line with the road map to peace, the Andanis were to begin the final funeral performance of Yaa Naa Andani II from January 4, 2019 to January 18, 2019, but this was deferred following the alleged occupation of the Mba Dugu’s residence by the Bolin Lana.

The Andanis will observe the funeral rites beginning today January 11, 2019 to January 18, 2019.

The committee is made up of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Yagbonwura, Tuntumba Boresa Sulemana Jakpa I, the Paramount Chief of the Gonja Traditional Area and the Nayiri, Na Bohugu Abdulai Mahami Sheriga, the Paramount Chief of the Mamprugu Traditional Area.
