In December 2018, several black celebrities from the United States visited Ghana as part of a program diligently planned and executed by Boris Kodjoe.

The event dubbed Full Circle Festival saw the Hollywood Stars visit Akwamufie where The Real Michael Jai White was enstooled as a chief.

The star-studded guests experienced the Culture, Warmth and Rhythm of Ghana.

Hollywood celebrities Odupomaa Bozoma Saint John, Boris Kodjoe, Rosario Dawson and more, cruise on Lake Volta to Akwamufie, Bogyawe Palace to experience the rich culture and heritage of the Akwamu Kingdom.

Drawing parallels between the resilience and fighting spirit of the Akwamu people, the Paramount Chief, Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III, congratulated the star-studded entourage for their exploits in the USA which has now made them global icons.

The Year of Return is a special spiritual and birthright journey being coordinated by the Ghana Tourism Authority. The initiative has pushed Ghana into 4th place on the list of 19 must-visit places in 2019 put together by CNN.

1. Take a stroll down the 522 meters iconic Adomi bridge

2. Visit the statue of the first Black Governor of Ghana Nana Asamini.

3.Tour Ghana’s biggest Hydro Dam, Akosombo Dam

4. Take a heritage tour to the Akwamufie Bogyawe Palace, the Traditional seat of Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III

5. Visit the Akwamu Palace Museum to connect with Ancient artefact like 500 years Nubia Drum, 400 years bulletproof Lion skin cloth and 300 years Osu Castle keys

6. Cruise the largest Man-made lake in the world, Volta lake.

7. Visit Akwamus beautiful Gyakiti Beach

8.Tour Akwamu Gorge, an ungazetted forest located between Atimpoku and Akwamufie, with a total of about About 20 species of medium to large mammals including 150 bird species with the globally threatened and enigmatic white-necked Picathartes being the most significant amongst them.

9. Take a tour to Akosombo Textiles

10. Visit Akwamu – Atimpuko for seafood (jumbo shrimp, One man thousand etc)
