Eight people have been confirmed dead after a Spinter vehicle with registration number GT 5249-17 collided with tipper truck vehicle at Boankra in the Ejisu Constituency of the Ashanti Region.
The unfortunate incident occurred around 4:30am today on the Ejisu – Accra road.
Richard Karikari, the Chief Executive Officer of Oli Best Road Safety Organization speaking to Abusua fm’s Osei Kwadwo said the accident was caused by a wrong overtaking by the driver of the sprinter bus and in the process collided with the tipper truck.
The persons died on the spot while 5 persons died at the hospital.
The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at Juaben Government Hospital mortuary while the injured are receiving treatment.
