Anas’ partner was threatened earlier before his murder – Family

The family of the late member of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ investigative firm Tiger Eye PI, killed by unidentified assailants on Wednesday night has revealed that he had been threatened before his death.

Ahmed Husein was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck by gunmen on motorbike in Madina, Accra while driving home.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has commenced investigations to unravel circumstances leading to the murder. The Investigators numbering 15 have picked vital information from the crime scene and are speaking to eyewitnesses.

Some eye witnesses who spoke to Kasapafmonline.com stated that they saw the unidentified assailants lurking around the neighborhood on a motorbike hours before he was killed.

“He had a call that one of his children was sick and told us he was going to take his son to the hospital and bid us goodbye. So he drove his car and as he approached the junction we heard a gunshot and was thinking that it was knock out (crackers). Soon after, a man rushed to our house and informed us that Ahmed has been shot dead. We rushed there and saw him dead in his car.

“Actually, someone had earlier threatened him and said he’ll hire people to kill him. But we are not ready to disclose the name now, we want the police to finish with their investigations first.”

Ahmed was one of Tiger Eye investigators who had his picture circulated by Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong in his ‘who watches the watchman’ anti-Anas video documentary and called on the public to deal ruthlessly with him whenever they came into contact with him, and promised monetary reward for the perpetrators.
