Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak has served notice to file a motion for a vote of censure on Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremanteng for disrespecting Parliament.
Alan Kyeremanteng who was expected to appear before the house today to answer questions has for the third time failed to show.
Deputy Majority leader, Sarah Adwoa Safo informed the house that the minister has written to Parliament asking permission to travel to UK with Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for a summit.
But that did not sit well with the Minority Chief whip, Muntaka who described the minister’s action as deliberate and disrespectful to the house.
Muntaka added that Alan Kyeremanteng was in Parliament last Thursday for the president’s State of the Nation Address but has failed to honour the house’s invitation.
The Asawase Mp consequently disclosed he’s initiating processes towards passing a vote of no confidence in the Trades Minister.
