The family of deceased former Member of Parliament Afigya Sekyere East Constituency in the Ashanti Region, David Henric Yeboah are questioning the circumstances surrounding his death.
The former MP passed away on Friday night while receiving treatment at the Pope John Paul Hospital in Jamasi after complaining of body pains.
Speaking to Starr News, brother of the late MP, Dr Nana Oppong said the family will get an autopsy done this week to ascertain the cause of death.
“He started complaining of body aches, stomach problem on Friday morning and he sent somebody to go and buy him medicine but he wasn’t feeling well so he decided to drive himself to the hospital at a place called Jamasi. It was at Jamasi that he died few hours later and we don’t know why he died so far after he drove himself to the hospital.
“I understand they gave him three injections plus some medicines, I’m yet to find out the details of that. It sounds odd, everything is strange and he’s dead so we’re going to do an autopsy to determine the cause of death.”
