Information available to Agoo News indicates that, about four market women have been allegedly raped by some Fulani herdsmen after attacking and robbing over thirty traders at Anyinasu in the Sekyere Afram Plains District of Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred today 7th March 2019 when the traders were returning from Simpoa in the Kwahu East District of Eastern Region.

The victims revealed this is the fourth time since last year traders have been attacked by the herdsmen.

One of the victims whose name was identified as Kofi Wayo narrating his ordeal to Agoo FM’s Ebenezer Kojo Nyavor during a telephone conversation said, the Fulani herdsmen took away over GHC15,000 after raping about four women.

He said, the herdsmen pointed guns threatening to kill them should they fail to comply with their demands.

According to him, the situation was disturbing but after they had satisfied their demands, they left without shooting anyone.

He called for immediate intervention by the assembly and government as a whole to take the matter into consideration since farmers take advantage of the market day on Thursdays to sell their farm products.
