The first edition of the Africa Gospel Awards Festival [AGAFEST]will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2019.

The event venue has also been changed from the Fantasy Dome to the Action Dome at Spintex Road, Accra.

This year’s AGAFEST dubbed “Africa under one God” features Ghanaian, Nigerian and South African gospel music superstars, Joe Mettle, KODA, Elder Mireku, Patience Nyarko, Akesse Brempong, Preachers, KingsKid, Tim Godfrey, Sammy Okposo, Mercy Chinwo, Prospa Ochimana and Abathandwa music group among others.

The awards seek to encourage, motivate and inspire gospel talents and Christian activities and ventures to attain excellence in their ministries and businesses, and also enhance their labour of love for the expansion of the Kingdom of God.

The first edition covers four (4) African countries – Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya – and according to the Chief Executive Officer of AGAFEST, Prince Mackay; the Awards will be expanded to encompass other African countries in subsequent editions.

It will be a two-day event with the first day being an Africa Gospel Business Summit and the Awards ceremony on Saturday, which will be the second day.

Tickets are selling for GHC 100 (VIP) and GHC (50).
