Reggae/dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla popularly known in showbiz as Stonebwoy has made known his support for secular music being played anywhere by responding to a recent video that went viral over the weekend.

The video which showed a church and its congregation dancing to Stonebwoy’s hits track ‘Kpo K3k3’ during a party received a lot of angry comments from most Ghanaians who believe that secular songs should not be played in a Holy or sacred environment such as the church.

Directly addressing these angry comments, the multiple awards winner took to his Facebook page to state his point of view and expressed his joy for the readiness of the church to embrace secular music.

“The other day I saw a video of mine played in a church and the energy was amazing.  And it gives me a lot of joy to be the creator of such beautiful musical pieces for your consumption” Stonebwoy said with a genuine smile on his face.

The Bhimnation Boss made it clear that the Body of Christ is not necessarily just the church building but it is in actual fact the human being.

“Remember that the body of Christ is not actually the temple sitting down there, it’s you.  The temple of God is the body that you have; my body, your body” he added.

Stonebwoy further added that there is no need for some Ghanaians to act hypocritically because a lot of people criticizing this video may be doing some ungodly things behind closed doors; “Only God knows what we do to our bodies on a daily basis. The atrocities we commit, the sin, the abomination. So let us take it easy and not try to act perfect” he advised.
