One of the sub-chiefs of Atebubu Amantin Traditional Council, Nana Appiah Gyan, has incurred the wrath of the Council for allegedly soliciting for GH₵1,000.00 financial support from the immediate past Member of Parliament for the area, Sanja Nanja.

Nana Gyan who is also a linguist for the Atebubu Traditional Council, requested for the money on behalf of the Queen mother of the Traditional Council, Nana Afia Doyina II, reports ghanaxtra.com.

The Traditional Council which got wind of Nana Gyan’s move quickly summoned him to explain the rationale behind his going to the former MP for support on behalf of the Nana Doyina II knowing very well the lack of cordial relationship that exists between the Queen mother and the former legislator of the area.

Nana Gyan who first appeared before the Traditional Council on March 22, 2019, denied the allegation but changed his plea and asked for forgiveness when he re-appeared on March 28, 2019.

www.ghanaxtra.com further reported that Nana Gyan was found guilty of misconduct by the Traditional Council and was ordered to pacify the council with a sheep.

He was also asked to cause for an announcement to be made to the effect that he did not act at the behest of the Queen mother.
