Portia Boakye capitalized on an 87th minute missed penalty goal mouth melee to secure Ghana Gold at this year’s All Africa Games in Congo, Brazzaville.
Boakye took advantage of a rebound situation to fetch home Ghana’s biggest win at the tournament.
And it was a decent volley that is sure to win her some appeal.
A perfect end to a campaign that saw them see off Cote D’ Ivoire in their last game, they performed well much to the satisfaction of Coach Yusif Basigi, who needed this win more than his players – having failed in his quest to impress in the last one year.
