Minority MPs storming out of Parliament

The Minority in parliament has declined recommendation for the approval of Minister-designate for the newly created Bono region, Mrs. Evelyn Ama Kumi-Richardson.

According to a report submitted by the Appointments Committee to the House, the decision for her to be approved is only supported by the Majority.

Her approval was put on hold last month over her academic credentials among other issues with 18 others sailing through.

Addressing the House, the Chairman of the Committee, Joseph Osei Owusu indicated that the nominee has now been cleared of any wrongdoing by the Auditor General, adding she’s presented all outstanding documentations.

She was however, recommended to be approved by the House by a majority decision.
