Kumasi came alive as the second edition of MTN Music Festival was held at the Plush Golden Bean Hotel in Nhyiaeso on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
The night saw thrilling performances from Rex Omar, Sarkodie and Okyeame Kwame as they rocked patrons with back-to-back hit songs.
Rex Omar’s performance was described by patrons as nostalgia as he performed his hit bangers Abiba, Dada Di Da, Tokota, Dada among other well-composed hit bangers.
Sarkodie and Okyeame Kwame gave patrons what they yearned for. The two rappers took patrons and their “Die Hard Fans” through their heydays classical hit songs.
The MTN Music Festival which is held as a prelude to key national holidays including the independence Day, May Day, and Farmers Day celebrations, is to celebrate and showcase the cultural heritage of Ghana through music, dance and poetry.
The MTN Music Festival is organized in partnership with Slip Entertainment and has already generated excitement amongst industry analysts.
